LGLO - Love God Love Others

- Paraphrase of what Jesus said was the greatest commandment.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

It seems that it is the loss of interaction with those others watching TV that is missed. If you had another set of head phones you might enjoy the TV but you would still miss the interaction. Sometimes we sit down to watch something we dont really want to watch just so we can spend a little time near by. Caillou is a perfect example for me!!

Happily, this has turned out to be a non-event so far. Andy has been begging for this for so many years that in my mind it was something that would take over our household, without proper management. Not so. Yay!

I want to play! However, I already know that I would be doomed to defeat no matter what the game. My thumbs and fingers just dont like to follow directions in the timely fashion needed to be victorious in these things...

With that being said... good luck keeping Alex away! If it on his radar you are going to be in trouble. Is there a way to easily hook the thing up and unhook it so it can be put away? Out of site out of mind seems to work semi-well with the 5 year old set.

And why does reading time have to be after Alex has gone to bed? Reading time could any time, couldn't it? Spencer usually does his reading immediately after dinner. I know every house is different, and what works in ours might not work for you in yours....but just food for thought.

And finally, avoiding video games has lost me 15 pounds so far....

Unfortunately, my superior intellect doesn't seem to be doing the trick either--as I have been defeated on "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" (in the category of first grade grammar!).
